i read a few months ago that another company wanted to continue the episodes because the first one had it...the anime has not reached the manga(i don't know what others say) so there should be more...until now there are only 167 episodes and 4 movies

Yes, the tv show is officially over in Japan because they caught up to the manga. That's why the show does not have a real ending. On wikipedia the author said she needed at least 500 chapters to complete the series properly, and she has done over 400.

InuYasha, the anime, is over. They are not making any more episodes for it. There have been rummors of them making a second series based of the IY character possibly called A Feudal Fairytale.

im not sure but i think that theres another season coming up cuz i dont think the series has ended in japan yet. like i said im not sure but i think that there is another season. mayb u shuld check wikipedia, they shuld b able to tell u.

O_O Wow, i didn't think it would ever end; but i think the last season is where the ending theme 'brand new world' comes up.
