When i found out i was pregnant it came as a shock. I thought about keeping the baby but what kind of life i would lead. I suffer depression and anxiety and the thought of staying at home with a screaming baby scared me. The father is a ex drug addict loser who doesnt work and he's just into violence(not with him anymore). I went through with the abortion and it was a horrible experience but i was relieved when it was over. You may think i'm a bad person but now i know it was the best decision.

Adoption is not by any means a viable option in a lot of cases. Any rational person would be able to work this glaringly obvious fact out.
The idea that you are somehow depriving another couple of a child is one of the most bizarre statements I have ever heard on the subject. People commit selfish acts through laziness or greed every single day that "deprive" other people all sorts of things and yet a woman who makes a mistake is expected to risk everything in order to provide another couple with a child.
can we also bear in mind there where there is a pregnant female there is also the male that made her pregnant, these men are very rarely brought into the equation unless it is to say that they should have the right to decide weather or not a woman has to suffer for nine months.
All that being said I do think abortion has a lasting emotional effect although it is not always regret. The idea that abortion is an easy option is equally as ridiculous as saying adoption is.

Everyone throws up the adoption like its a piece of cake....I had an abortion when I was 17 and my reasons were very similar to yours, If i would have went through w/ it than I probably wouldn't even have finished school. I am turning 21 this month and expecting in May and I couldn't be happier, I am prepared now and with a guy that is wonderful-so I know my baby will have a good life. Maybe what I did when I was 17 wasn't the best decision, but it was right at the time, and every woman has the right of CHOICE. I used to be one of those ProLife people before I went through that, but I truely believe no one knows what they will do until they are in a situation.

I am completely against abortion, but you are the only one that knows if you made the right decision. My best friend had an abortion 3 years ago and she has never looked back. She knew she could not provide for the child and she felt that was her only option. I stood by her 100% because it was something that she could only decide.

for me when i found out i was pregnant i was so close to getting a abortion that i was down at the clinic sitting in the room and when i saw that ultra sound i coudnt do it and now i am proud to say i am a married soon to be a mother of a baby boy see the thing i dont get is you chose to sleep with your ex and he got you pregnant and then you got a abortion instead of putting it up for adoption the way i see it is that babies are mircles you know there are tons of women who cant have babies and they would love to adopt and then there are people like you who dont want to go through the pain of labor and giving that baby a chance to live by putting it up for adopiton now i am keeping mine and i am 19 because it was a mistake i made but i was responisble enough to stand up and take responisbility so in other words you say your mature enough to have sex but then your not mature enough to have a baby to either put it up for adopiton or to raise it yourself and you say you suffer from depression and anxiety i am bipolar and ocd but i still am old enoug to take responsiblity so please do me a favor and never have sex again or if you do have sex keep it dont kill a baby for your mistake think everytime you go into that clinc to have a abortion think of at least one couple who cant have kids

I personally do not regret it. I had one when I was 19, like you the father was a homeless, jobless, drug addict. It was a very hard decision but it was MY decision. Do not let some of the rude comments on here get to you.

most of my friends told me that told me they didnt at first but when seen other wemon that had there children they started to regret it really bad and it haunts them bad every day that they live cause god did not abort us so it is not a right thing to do i dont agree with that at all it is not that unborn childs fought its yours

i have never had it done but here is a ? for you why did you not just give it up instead of killing there are all kinds of ppl out there that would have given that baby a great life.
