ANYONE KNOW THE SINGER AND TITLE please?

its by that guy who was lead singer with R.E.M michael ??? and the song he sings is night ?????/something or other..its a fantastic song i only ever heard it once

His name's Michael Stipe but I'm not sure about the song. He sang the REM song Gardening at Night. That's kind of close. The only solo song I can see that he's done is called In The Sun.
