autosomes are the 22 pairs of chromosmes that are involved in sex determination (as in X and Y sex chromosomes). Linkage just means that the gene is on one of the autosomal chromosomes.

This is a genetics term to explain the relationship of two genes. Alleles (versions of a specific gene) that are on close loci (plural of locus...the spot on the chromosome where a gene is carried) are considered to be linked. Of course, to say it is autosomal means that it occurs on the 22 non-sex chromosomes. Therefore, two genes which are close enough on a non-sex chromosome are autosomally linked.

x-linked means the characteristics related to x chromosome. Some diseases, for example, are found only in females because the gene causing the disease is located somewhere on the x chromosome. So, it is called a x-linked disease.
