Someone must have travelled from UK to Rhodes by ship, however, this must have been done at least 2.000 years ago!...
Rhodes is an island and there's no way you can get there by train. There is a ferry connection from Piraeus and in summer time there are many itineraries you can choose from, but UK-Piraeus should be done by other means than ship, orelse you will give birth in the train!
What is your problem with flying while pregnant? I cannot understand it. I was nine months pregnant and I flew from Athens to Thessaloniki (round trip) without any problem. Who told you that you are in danger if you catch a plane?
I'm sure that if you try to make this journey by train or bus, it will be far more dangerous than catching a plane!
If you are determined however not to catch a plane, then you should rather postpone the idea of going to Rhodes.
The choice is yours!
Good luck!

It will be a really long trip and expensive too. U would need to go to europe by eurostar and take several trains to get to Athens and then take ferry to Rhodes which takes more than 20 hours - its not worth it - what if you go into labour in the middle of the sea?? Seriously reconsider.

you will have to go to Athens somehow and from there take the ferry

Then skip it. You cannot travel any other way aside from plane to Rhodes from the UK.
Try going after you give birth.
