Im 20 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and up until a few days ago, i felt him move around at night. However, ive not felt him really since N.Y.Eve and I am a bit worried. Is it still too early to feel him move about reguarly, or should i be worried? I know after a certain point they move around alot and u feel them everyday, but not sure when this is?

I would see your doctor just to be safe. It is probably nothing to worry about. But I always liked to be overly cautious my doctor always said, that is why they are there. My daughter wasn't much of a mover in the beginning of my pregnancy but, towards the later part of my pregnancy she never stopped moving.

At this points movements will be irregular. You may not feel the baby for a day or two, it doesn't mean the baby isn't moving. The baby is still quite small. It isn't until about the 28th week that you should start counting movements each day, but if you need reassurance, talk to your caregiver. But I wouldn't worry about it, when I was 20 weeks, I sometimes would go several days and not feel the baby. That is the hardest thing about this stage in the pregnancy. I now have a healthy 3 month old.
SOME women don't feel the baby move at all until the 22nd week. Don't worry.

The anxiety and worry that's being caused over this isn't good for you or the baby so I'd say go to the doctor if you're uncertain. The doctor can detect a heartbeat in the office right away or he can order an ultrasound asap, plus he can allay your fears by answering the questions posed here. Don't wait, go to the doctor...today! Also, if you're a worry-wart like me, you can buy a monitor that straps onto your belly so you can hear the heartbeat anytime you want. FYI, some babies just don't move around alot, but if you've noticed a big change...well, I just wouldn't wait, it's not worth the stress it's causing.

20 weeks is still pretty early. i didn't even feel a kick with my first until 22 weeks. They still have quite a bit of room to move around in there. You might try to lay on your left side and drink ice water or a small amount of juice. If you don't feel anything within an hour, I'd call your doctor. If you report not having movement they may direct you to go immediately to the hospital-don't worry- it will just be for a non stress test. I had one with my first. They monitor kicks and heartbeats. Have a happy and healthy 9 months! Congrats!

Since the room in the womb is getting very small it is normal not to feel the baby move as much as before. The baby is growing rapidly and is finding it very hard to move around. It's not something you should be worried about but if you are speak with your doctor.

The same thing was happening to me while I was pregnant don't assume the worst it only stresses you out more.
Babies in the womb need a lot of rest sometimes they can sleep for up to 15 hours without any movement. Other times when you are awake the baby is asleep and when you are sleeping the baby is awake. If u wanna do a home test after you've eaten a meal lay on your left side and you'll be able to feel the baby kicking

It is still early and the baby is very small, so it's probably not anything to worry about. Babies also sleep in the womb so he may just be sleeping. I would suggest that you call your doctor or just stop by the office. The nurse should be able to listen to the heartbeat for you and they can let you know if everything is all right.

At first you usually feel them occasionally (around 16 weeks). Then USUALLY people feel them more frequently. Then, though, they can slow down when they have less room for moving. Of course, what mothers don't know during that not-too-frequent-movement-feeling stage is whether they're moving when the mother is sleeping.
If you're concerned you, of course, should just ask your doctor.
One of my babies barely moved the whole time, though, and I lived in - as you can imagine - constant fear. When he did move it was always questionable as to whether that was really what it was. He was fine and feisty when he was born.

Little early yes... at 20 weeks i had an ultrasound done and my son was kicking kicking kicking and I could see it on the screen but felt nothing, not even a bubble. I had felt him kick for the first time at 14 weeks, so its not that I hadn't felt him ever, but just not then, and I was looking right at it hehe
