"Downfall" is not dubbed in English but has subtitles. There are not many dialogues in movie so reading subtitles would not be that much of a problem. Its a beautiful movie... enjoy watching it !!

Personally, having watched hundreds of Japanese films, English dubs tend to ruin them or just make them seem stupid, so I recommend Subtitles for sure. As for which ones are best, Ju On and Ringu are best by far, (The original versions of The Grudge and The Ring). Audition is also a pretty good movie, but it's more strange than scary... I suggest looking up the original versions of American-remakes and go from there, because usually the original is quite scarier than it's American counterpart. Hope this helps =)

The English version is Subtitled in English, sorry it's not dubbed in English though.
