It is a disgrace that an American soldier has lowered himself to the same culture as some of the burning flag and hatred spouting racist members of the Muslim nations they have to realise that respect must come from all sides before the world can move on.
Your words are I'm sorry to say part of the problem hoping he dies a most painful death (WITH YOUR ATTITUDE THINGS WILL NOT IMPROVE)
Reading one of your previous answers You admit to being a Jew hater

It's not any more right to stamp on a holy book than it is to burn an American flag, yet you see plenty of Iraqis doing that with no reprisals, so if an American chooses to stamp on a quran, perhaps he is voicing his displeasure like they are.
I think it's lame you wish such a painful death to the soldier just for making a statement.
Free Speech is an American Right, and he was practicing it, right or not.

well I will add my 2 cents to this, first off its a disgraceful act that he preformed, he didn't do it because his feet were dirty, or it was on fire, so he had to do it to cause controversy, and show that his action was in disrepect to a religion, or group of people.
Now, as I see things. I am a true, hard working American, who loves his country, ect... but have realistic views on things, Its a book ! Just like a Flag is a flag, ect... people spend too much time on Idols of what something stands for, this person did not take a person who was reading the Quran, and step on his face or body, he did it to a BOOK, We as people are too quick to think that Small symbols of religion, faith, or nationalism is based on a BOOK, FLAG, or things of that sort.
The sooner that we realized that its whats in your heart, and what you belive, that really counts, not Symbols.
Yes he did what he did out of hatred, its not right what he did, and I am sure he will pay a price for that. For you to say that you wish him DEATH because of what he did, makes your words no better than his actions.

I think it was very disrespectful of that soldier to stamp on the Quran (Koran?). It might not be his religion, but it is important to many people throughout the world. He's just plain ignorant, as are those who give you a negative rating.
Oh, and before anyone decides how I should be rated, I am a Pagan but was reared a Catholic and applaud the fact that human beings are different. There is no one true faith, there are millions of them!

showing little respect for people's faith is bad, and obviously the aim is provocation, despise and possibly hatred.
I suppose that it deeply hurt your feelings.
However, do you really think that this deserves to end up by that person's death?
Surely you can't be judge jurry and executor.
Is it what that holly book taught you about forgiveness, understanding and strengh?
You are being too passionate.
Calm down.
This guy is right in the heart of a war, his feelings are running as high as yours.
He's seeing his friends dying. He's as angry as you are and frustrated and most probably full of hatred as well.
Just like you it's his beliefs that drive him to this reaction.
So, maybe the most constructive thing would be to think about a way to enlighten those who don't share your faith on how important it is to your people.
Does the holly book say to fight fire with fire?
Somehow I don't think so.x

if you really want to know what is wrong with the world why would you wish death on another human being.
there is enough horror going on in the world without making it any worse.
there is no excuse for him stamping on the muslim holy book, but you should never wish death on him.

I would have been stamping on the muslim.
They are to blame for the death, misery, horror, mutilations, murders, bombings etc. They will never accept anything other than bloodshed.
Looks llike the 3 thumbs up you've had, have been the mozzies!

Is anyone else getting a bit sick of the finger dude?? GROW UP! Anyway. Yeah, it's sick, everything is just going a bit too far now. I think many Catholics/Christians/Jews/etc would be just as upset if it was them. But at the same time, hoping he dies a painful death ain't too nice either!

its not something and i understand why someone would get upset over it.
I would get upset regardless of what religion that certain book of artefact belonged to because i know to someone it means alot and its not fair for someone to do something and say they didnt mean it or didnt understand its significance.
I find it sickening when people dismiss is by saying that there are other things that are bad in the world and it could have provoked him to do it, well if everyone had that attitude the world would really turn into a living hell! People cant do something bad and say so what everyone else is doing it!

i think people are starting to generalise too much. if someone has had or witnessed a bad experience with one muslim or jew or whatever they feel that the whole of that particular religion are to blame. A soldier should know different, as these are the men who are meant to be setting an example....they are ighting for peace afterall.
