Personally I believe there are only 4 dimensions at one time. But as a black hole seperates from our 4 dimensional universe it instantly causes a big bang and creates its own 4 dimensional universe. Now if going from universe to universe is possible?

Do the universes float away from each other in another dimension(5th?) or do they stay attached like soap bubbles do.

The universe has properties that are very similar to fluid and maybe even go along with the laws of fluid dynamics.

Try a quick read of the Stephen Hawkins book, "A brief history of time." Or another is "The Elegant Universe", by Brian Greene. There seems to be additional dimensions, the fourth being a sort of curled up ball, which my mind related to a large salt water mollusc my uncle used to occasionallyt bring home that we would boil and then slice the meat and fry it and butter. It was delicious, over 40 years ago. Keep in mind that dimensions are a physical characteristic which may not apply in a relevant way in another dimension.

There are 11 dimensions. I don't know them all, but the 11th is a membrane. Look up M theory.

We know of only 4 which we call length, width, depth, and time. No others have been observed, and are the product theory and speculation.
