Yes. Contrary to popular belief, everything about the acoustic guitar is the same on the electric guitar. The only thing that is different is that the strings on an electric guitar are generally lighter, which allows for faster and longer playing and more bending of the strings, all of which is designed to put less strain on your fingers. However, these lighter guaged strings for an electric guitar will work quite nicely on an acoustic guitar, although I have noticed that the sound isn't as rich as when I use regular acoustic strings. If you tell the guy at the guitar store that you need strings for whichever guitar, he'll know what to get you.

yes, essentially the same instrument, only one is plugged in and the other generates the loud sound from the hollow body.
