Yes, you certainly did the right thing. Being obsessed with another person never gets better. The obsession will get worse, unless help is sought.

That kind of behavior should always be a "red flag" to you. In simple language, stay clear of this kind of behavior in any relationship you enter.

Yes you did the right thing.. Sometimes when a boyfriend becomes obsessed with his girlfriend it becomes a problem. I would suggest that you take care of yourself and let your family and friends know that you and your boyfriend broke up and why??? Its always best to let your loved ones know certain things like this just in case god forbid something happens...Take care

yes you did the right thing sweetheart, i am married to a man who is obsessed by me and its making me miserable, im only 21 and im stopped from being me and having my own life. youre your own person and should be allowed to feel free and do whatever you want without someone looking over your shoulder and wanting to know youre every news. You need your space and your own life that only you should have and rule. This guy doesnt love you, hes obsessed by you and probably jealous of you. in time this would turn to bitterness against you and he would make you miserable. good luck and get out there and find someone who loves you and your life!!!xX

You definitely made the right decision. Just think what he would be like in a few years time...... can't see your friends/family, can't go out, have to do what he says.
Obsession is not a good thing, well done on getting rid if you ask me!!

That is totally up to you but did you talk to him first and told him to stop being obessed with you? That would be the first thing to do before you break up with him. I think maybe he hasn't had a girl friend before so he doesn't know how to act.

If he is the jealous type or controlling type then it was a good move, but how was he obsessive?

Yes you did because a man becoming obsessed with a woman is crazy because to me he will eventually turn into a stalker.

Yes, and expect trouble from him. Anyone obsessed can be dangerous. Watch yourself, don't try to be "friends", make it a clean break. Change locks, move if possible, change phone numbers. Vary your routine, drive to work/school a different way.........be paranoid! Socialize in groups especially with groups of girls for awhile.

Yes you did! Its different to love and care for someone but obsessiveness is out of order. Your relationship would intensify and so would his control. You are better off without him!
