The sun shines bright into his room and I would like something to put on the window to make it darker. Is there something that is like a window cling that will block the sun out of his room? I've tried hanging a black blanket up but now that he's walking, he could pull the whole thing down along with the nails that is holding the blanket up and it's not safe. Is there something that will block the sun out without being hazardous to my walking baby?

Hi,
I recently used a product on some windows to give me more privacy. You can buy window films at Home Depot or Lowes that are perfect for your problem. They come in different styles--from crackled glass to stained glass, and many others. You cut the film to fit the window and apply with a spray product for film application-sold at the same spot where they have the film. It stays on very well, but is removable and replacable.
It has worked great for me...hope this helps.

You can either get a seran wrap looking material from somewhere like home depot that attaches directly to the window or get some room-darkening wood or faux wood blinds. The wrap will only make the room a little darker, not completely dark.

Oh, and if you are not proud, putting cardboard up will do the trick. I actually do this for my east window in my bedroom.

You can use either special drapes to block out the sun light or you can use a window shade to do the blocking.

I use the window shade ( heavy duty ) to block the sunlight. Not only is the room kep dark, but in the Summer it keeps the room cool and in the WInter, it keeps the room warm.

Try checking your local hardware store or on-line for something like "Gila Glare Control Static Cling Window Film"

That should really help and be out of the reach of your child's clutches! Good luck!

They make room darkening shades and curtins which is one option. a very dark window tint is another option which can be temporarily applied or permanent. I would go for the shades or curtains as you may wont some light in at time and these can be opened partially where as the tint can not
