The series, "THE SADDLE CLUB" is about 3 horse crazy girls in that age range (middle school) and has over 100 books about their horsey adventures.

Chicken Soup For the horse lovers soul is great! Its filled with funny little stories and powerful ones of adventure and amazing feats. I definitly reccomend it, its great! Some are of famous horses and people, others from your average joe, but all are interesting and meaningful. I loved it, its really great for pretty much any age, but its more appreciated i think by 11ish or older because of some difficult vocab words in the stories, but that is very rare. Its honestly not hard to read, and there are a bunch of true life stories so you can pick and choose under different categories of which ones you want to read. Try it!!!! Hope this helps!!!

I loved the "Black Stallion" series , stories about the boy Alec and his horse "The Black" and their trainer, I think his name is Henry. They travel around racing their horse and have adventures
