can you download stuff from meadia player, or real player, like onto a CD?

like if you listen to something on Media Player, or Real Player, can you download that thing?

I haven't tested that software myself, but there are a billion programs you can find by searching for "Record directly from the sound card". They usually output MP3s which you can then record as a CD or MP3 CD with Nero or Easy CD Creator or whatever comes bundled with your system.

What exactly do you mean?

You can use programs like Nero to burn CDs, provided the file you are watching/listening to is on your computer.

On other hand, there are streaming videos ( Eg UC Berkeley webcasts) that you are not actually supposed to download, but see/listen in real time, remember Yahoo radio? There are various softwares which allow you to record streaming media, and store it as a file on your computer, and then you can use Nero to burn it onto the CD. But that's copyright infringement, right?
