No.

As Stephan Hawkings recently pointed out, No natural disaster has completely destroyed the world in billions of years, so odds are it isn't going to happen in the next 50-100 years. Eventually, the solar system will die, but not in my lifetime, or in the lifetime of the human species.

Man-made disaster is far more possible. Regardless of the hype, it would be very difficult for man to completely destroy the whole world militarily. A unique event such as an asteroid hit, massive volcano eruption, or magnetic-pole reversal may do it, but there are very thin odds of that happening soon, and it won't bring the world to a complete end, just rearrange a few things. The best bet would be through destruction of the natural environment. But I don't think any current trends will lead to COMPLETE destruction of the world, though human life might have a struggle.

No I don't. I think there is a possibility that the human race will die in my life time, at least the vast majority of it, but I don't think the world will end untill the sun burns out and destroys it. The reasons I believe this is that a) our current rate of population growth can't be sustained, at some point a huge number of people will have to die, and b) humans are a gnat on the windshield of the planets drive through life; meaning, homo sapiens has only been around a few hundred thousand years, and maybe will only be around a thousand more, but the planet has endured 4.5 billion

We'll probably doom ourselves off before that planet killing asteroid hits us, before the consequences of global warming are in full swing, before the super volcanoes erupts and surely before our sun supernovas.

The detonation of tens of thousands of nuclear weapons that now sit quietly, inconspicuously, in missile silos, submarines and long-range bombers, faithful servants awaiting orders would bring the end of the human species.

The World Health Organization concludes that 1.1 billion people would be killed outright in such a nuclear war, mainly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. An additional 1.1 billion people would suffer serious injurles and radiation sickness. This would represent by far the greatest disaster in the history of the human species and, with no other adverse effects, would probably be enough to reduce at least the Northern Hemisphere to a state of prolonged agony and barbarism.

The nuclear winter that Carl Sagan spoke about would eventually spread to the Southern Hemisphere, killing all plant and animal life, and eventually mankind.

There are worlds ending (and beginning) somewhere in the universe everyday as part of the natural processes of creation, destruction and renewal. No one can know when our earth will cease to exist. The important thing is to live your life to the very fullest and to experience all of the soul building things that life has to offer: love, joy, creative inspiration, life energy, and kindness. These things transcend this life and this world. So it does not matter if the earth ends today because the true you will be unchanged by this.

I would say it might be a blessing or it might be a tragic depends on how individuals view it. Personally, I would agree that the world will come to a complete end and believe that something new will be created at the same time because the end of something is the beginning of another.

No, it will not. People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years, and they have all been wrong. Why should we believe these profits of doom now? We should believe in the tenacity and persistance of the human race. If there is some sort of devastating disaster within our lives, humanity will survive through greater degrees of ingenuity and innovation.

20% chance

I think maybe nuclear weapons getting out of hand could still take us all out, or an asteroid hitting Earth

things like ice ages, global warming, etc, would take 100 years anyway I think

I guess now that I think about it ,technicly I would be dead BEFORE the world ended
