Do your own damn homework!
I think the irony here is that it has to do with people's inability to think for themselves, and here you are, having other people do your thinking for you.

The affect the society greatly, if you give people the chance to be on t.v., giving their 15 minutes of fame; so the people try and act good and thinking that they will be stars too. No one interacts with each other, they have the television to interact, The society they live in, turns people into mindless idiots, if reading is outlawed and they have t.v.'s are as big as a wall. They don't view themselves at all, I don't think they think about themselves if they can help it.

It's been awhile since I've read the book, but If I remember right, one thing the walls did was to create a society based only on material possession. With huge T.Vs surrounding you, you be more influenced by what you see or here. Because they can't have books, the media is there only source of information, but the media can be manipulated to create ideas in people that aren't real or true.

You should do your own homework, but the walls illustrate a society that does not think for itself and relies totally on televison not only for information, but what it should think what it should feel, what needs and what its priorities are , also for companionship. The husband and wife don't sit down and talk and show concern for each other they it down in front of the t.v. and interact with it.

Usually I don't do other peoples homework. But this book was so darn bad I can't blame you for asking for help! The walls make everyone rely on the technology and t.v families. They all interact with each other pretending everythings perfect just like the t.v families lives. Or something like that.
Good luck with the book :)
