When we dream, our subconcious mind shows us possibilities that we do not consider when we are awake. We dream of things that are at times very happy and joyful, and at other times we dream of things that are terrifying and horrible. Just as often we do not understand or remember our dreams. The point is that we are seeing things that do not occur to us naturally when we are awake. To dream with your eyes open is to see beyond your day to day concerns and cares. You should be in the habit of dreaming with your eyes open, because to go through life making decisions and choices based on surface information is incomplete. You should search for the deeper meaning, which can only be found in dreams.

Hmmm, good question. My first impression is that it means to incorporate your dreams into your actual day to day life. To actually strive to attain your dreams as you go about your daily business instead of just have them be an unreachable fantasy. Then, after pondering on it for a bit, I thought maybe it could mean try to be realistic and not have such pie-in-the-sky dreams that you would never be able to reach them in a million years. Maybe a combination of both.

To believe in what is percieved as only fantasy, but instead, in real life. That we must believe that dreams can come true and be willing to confront them with eyes wide open in order to make them happen.

I googled this. I had ideas about what it meant to me, however I will paste what I found. It's a good question for thought. I think it means make your dreams a reality, not something that just lives in your head.

It seems to me that this is a round about way to say "Make your dreams a reality as opposed to just dreaming about them".

See what you want in your life and make it happen. When that happens, dreaming in sleep is just a commercial.
