okay, well she came to our school in about grade 3 (curently in gr.8) all of a sudden she brought up her boyfriend R.E- robert edwin (in about grade 4) she said she had to buy him a guitar for his birthday in the summer and now she is saying his birthday is in november? like seriously! and i have got alot of evidence over the years. Like just a little while ago she said she was talking to her "boyfriend" which is currently now Jeremy cuz the other one moved to Beverly Hills. I went on 411.com and looked him up (i know that sounds stalkerish but i am CERTAIN they are all fake) and he wasn't listed obviously.. but I know sometimes people dont like being listed, so i decided to play a little game, I made up a phone number and told her i looked this up in the phone book, is this his number and she said YES! and I FRIGGEN MADE IT UP! there is alot more.. but i am running out of letters, so the question is, how should I confront her?! HELP I try so many times but all she does is deny it?

If she is your ex-friend, why do you care so much to go so far?

Why confront her? It seems like when people are liars, there is nothing that can be done to change that. My brother, nephew, & sister in law all lie all the time. My parents tried to change my brother, they tried everything, nothing helped. My nephew drives his grandma crazy with his bull. Still they can't get thru to him to stop. At least he isn't very good at it. Ignore it, or invite the 3 of you to get together, or quit being her friend, but tell her why.

i had a friend like this....well not exactly like this but she lied all the time too (about more serious things though). one day i saw that she had written something stupid about me on her xanga i blew up! it wasnt just that though, other lies that she had told me piled up & when i saw the lie on her xanga, it pissed me off SO bad & i just exploded! so i waited a couple days (to supposedly cool off) but i ended up calling her & cussing her out & making her cry. i was so mad that i didnt talk to her for about 6 months. but now we're cool. we arent best friends but we talk when we see eachother. i think i traumatized her so bad that she rly did change. but i keep my distance because i'm through with this stupid high school drama bullsh*t and i dont need someone lying to me to get my attention!
really as i look back on it, i think i rly did help her because i was one of the only friends she had, so she was forced to change if she wanted new friends (no one likes a liar).
to be honest though....if it happened again, i rly dont think i would put that much effort into it. i think i would say "im through with you PEACEOUT" you know?
so if you want to stay close to her then confront her, explain your evidence. i dont know if that will be affective, because i took the more aggressive way.
good luck with that!

Tell her exactly what you did and bust her. She needs to stop lieing before she starts losing her "real" friends. Just come out and tell her so she will stop.
