when i go to yahoo.com or google.com i appear sign in as a user that i never heard of before. this also happens to other web sites that i have to enter user name and password.
is this a spyware, virus

sounds like a trojan and someone took over. What you have to do is go to the part MY ACCOUNT located at the top of the window when you log in and delete the odd accounts and also change your password too.

This is happends if someone on your computer has accessed those sites using another name. All you need to do is clean out your IE cookies/Temp files/cach/ history under the tools section in your IE window.
Go to tools, then internet options then you will see buttons to delete all of those things.

Its more than likely the person who was using your computer before you was on that name. Try clearing your Internet Cache, Cookies, and History. Then sign in.
