Silver is a better conductor because its resistance is lower, 1.62 μΩ-cm vs 1.7241 μΩ-cm for copper. It is not used extensively because of the price and because it oxidizes very quickly. Copper is used extensively because of its abundance, making it much cheaper. It also doesn't oxidize as quickly and is still very malleable.

Silver conducts better than copper. It has to do with it's atomic structure and the number of electrons in the outer orbit of the atom.

Wow. Quite a disagreement. Find a table showing the conductivity of metals or the resistance of metals. Compare Cu and Ag. The lower resistance is the better conductor. The higher conductivity is the better condutor. I think it is silver.

Copper has more electrons available for movement, thus it is a better conductor. However, silver gives up its free electrons easier than copper, so it is also a good one. BUT, silver is expensive, copper is cheap, so overall copper is the better conductor.

Silver. It just is. Its outer electrons are freer to move about than copper's. Silver is also a better conductor than gold, but I don't know why.
