who decides what is a good enough reason to get an abortion ??? no one can decide that because every one has a different idea of "good reason". Abortion needs to be legal because although i personally would only get one in case of rape, or if i had a medical problem where it was the baby's life or mine and even in one of those cases i would have to think really really hard on it first if i did chose that option. Women will always be getting abortions abortion is nothing new it has been around for centuries. in olden days women who wanted an abortion were given certain herbs to take to cause miscarriage. now we just have to see a Doctor. the point is women will not stop getting abortions if they became illegal again the only thing that would happen is that more women would be dieing form abortions and not just the babies.

I think maybe you need to do better research on abortions and why women get them. yes, there is always going to be the few who abuse their right, but its not all 15 year old girls who are careless and stupid.

This country has lack a lack of sex education, and how are we going to prepare our youth by just telling them to say no? Not everyone is into waiting until marriage, but knowledge should be there for everyone no matter what so they can make smart decisions.

And what kind of 'reasons' do they have to have? Who decides what decisions are good enough? Why should anyone for that matter have a say about what you can and cannot do to your body?

If you dont like abortion or think its wrong...dont have one. Dont impose on those who may have "good reasons". Plus its not like its easy to get an abortion, the person getting one has tough decisions and its an emotional roller coaster that's a huge decision.

The adoption system is already overrun. People dont want the 13 year old black boy, they want the white new born baby. So until you provide education to everyone and change up the adoption scene, abortion is every woman's right and always should be.

It has only been in recent history that abortion was taboo. For centuries it was an accepted birth control method. Many folks today take a wild stand against it but I have to wonder how many of them perhaps even you, would be willing to take on the responsibility of an unwanted child that could not be aborted. To take on the physical care and expense of a child that was born addicted to drugs, has been sexually or emotionally abused or been otherwise neglected and is undernourished etc. This isn't always the case since some pregnancies are aborted for other reasons but you get the idea. Abortion should be strictly a personal choice, you wouldn't tell someone TO have a baby so why do you feel you can tell them NOT to???

yes...
abortion should be band except for in extreme case where the person was molested or raped.

It is absolutely wrong for you to have an abortion just because you don't want the child. There is something you can do instead of abortion... Give the child up for adoption.

It is very inhumane about what the doctors do to the fetus to get it out of the womb. They may pull the fetus limb by limb out. Or another way.

Abortion should be illegal in all cases. It's never right to kill an innocent human being. Here's some food for thought:

I totally agree, I don't care who you are if you do not have a plaussible reason you should'nt be able to get an abortion.
And also if God thought that someone was'nt ready for a baby, He has his ways of letting them know.
I do not agree with abortion, I would never had on abortion on the grounds of saying that I'm not ready or it would be a trouble to me....NoOne is ever ready for a baby, and they can be trouble...BUT they are a living being!!!!
Even though they can't tell you that they want to live...They should be giving that chance. If the mother does'nt want the baby, There are plenty of people in this world who can't have children and would love to adopt and give the child a great home and life....
That is my thought on abortion...sorry if I offened anyone, But I have an opinion as well as everyone else....

Wow, that sounds like pregnancy is a punishment. I don't think that's what you intended. Abortion is legal. The law does not provide a morality test (and by the way, whose morals?) as a condition to have an abortion because morals cannot be legislated. If you don't want one, don't have one. Simple as that.

I think a good enough reason is not wanting the baby, cause if people are forced to have a baby they don't want, they will be a terrible mother, and forever resent the child. You are far more likely to die from pregnancy than from abortion, and some of us just don't want to take that chance for just another drain on society.

Abortion is a choice women have. We, as other women, should not judge those who choose it. What other women do with their bodies is their choice and they will have to live with it. Making a woman go through with a pregnancy is not the answer either. It's a sticky situation and I feel as though it should be available for those who want it or so be it, abuse it. Their mind, their bodies. I would not want someone imposing restrictions on my life, how about you?

Who gets to decide what a "good" reason is?? You?
I don't think that women should use abortion as a means of birth control, but I think abortion should be legal.
