My take is that they are overrated. Certainly, my wife would appreciate the gesture, but really, is it really that big of a deal? Thanks and peace-

It's really no big deal to me. I guess every once in a while just to show off at work. My son does send them to me on Mother's day.
My husband did a few times when we started dating.
But I also feel flowers are overrated. They just die, better ways to spend the money. Buy me a computer or video game, I'd get more out of that than dying flowers.

Its not that flowers are over rated. Its that its always nice to get something from a loved one. I am sure you would agree. And its that much nicer when you can show them off at a place like work. It makes a woman feel that you were thinking about her or "What did he do now". And then the added plus you make all the other women jealous.

I would be surprised. I think flowers are cute. However, the more creative a man is, the more surprised I get. So, hope that this helps. God Bless and Be Safe :)

no its not a big deal and that is the point. grab her flowers once in a while. the act of buying them is no big deal, but receiving them for no reason really makes a woman feel good.

Always! even though my husband does that kind of stuff all the time for me. I always love the gesture, it's really sweet and nice. It shows he was thinking about me. But, any girl would love it if they aren't really tight with money.

if he actually bought them, yes, i would be suprised.

let me explain that. he used to work in a highrise building full of lawyers' offices, and in their offices they'd always have big arrangements of fresh flowers. after a few days, they'd replace the flowers, even though they still looked pretty. he's a bit of a packrat, never throws anything away, so he'd catch the janitors before they'd throw them in the dumpster, and he'd bring home the used flowers so i could enjoy them. i'd always laugh at him for bringing me "trash boquets", but it made me feel special all the same.

but back to your question, flowers aren't at the top of my "gifts i'd like to receive" list, but they're still loved and appreciated.

peace to you as well.

Oh...I LOVE IT when my hubby comes home with flowers! Shoot even if it is only 1 flower! It just shows me that he appreciates what I do around the house.

I would be surprised and be all, "Awww, how sweet!"

I would like it. I'm not into flowers, but just the idea that they went out of their way to do something nice is great.
