Is it possible to play ps2 online with just a usb to ethernet cord?

I just found this cord, and realized I MIGHT be able to do this. If this is at all possible, I may need a PlayStation online rom?

Excuse the stupid questions please. Just trying to figure out if this can work or not.

Where are you going to hook up the USB end too?

If your planning on plugging it into your computer, there's not a chance it will work.

If you want to plug the USB end into your PS2 that won't work either.

You need a straight ethernet cord and a router or direct connection to modem.

Good idea though.
