Last I looked there was this team out of the Bronx that might have something to say about how things work out in the American League. And no, the Twins need everyone at 100% and we already know that that's not going to happen. By the way, the Tigers owe you one from last season. I'd be more concerned about winning the division first. Personally I like Detroit to win the division.

Without Liriano, I don't think it could happen. With Liriano it would have been a given! Morneau, Mr. MVP! with The Cy Young Santana, and the new Cy Young Liriano. The twins are unbelievable. 2008, the twins will win the World Series, until then.. lets just make sure the Sox don't.

The twins will not win the World Series because they hae not made a lot of moves this year. if you look at teams in the AL you got The angles who are lookin great and teasm in the NL its up for grabs. I would say if they had Lirano and Santana they would ahev a chance but wit out Liriano then it will be tough for them. Htey lost a good pitcher in Radke and a great pitcher in Liriano. i look fro them to get pretty far but not to the world series

They have a chance, just like every other team in the Majors. I think the Twins have a good pitching rotation, but without Liriano, and now that Radke retired, it's going to be interesting to see what their pitching rotation will be like. Hopefully they can pick up a good pitcher this offseason.
That and I think the Twins could use another big bat in that lineup.
I hope they do well next year though.

I don't think you'll get past the Tigers. They added Sheffield and hes going to give them more pop than they've had. The Tigers pitching is not too shabby also so if, and its a big if, Liriano comes back healthy, you'll only be as good as the Tigers. Even if you get by the Tigers and win the division you still have to play us. The series goes through the Bronx this year.

Not a chance in heck!!!!! Gardy is an average manager who has been very lucky with his team thus far. He can lead them to the playoffs but not any further. The loss of Liriano is too much; and Sidney Ponson??????????????????? This is a Red Sox year!!!!!
PS. I AM a Twins fan and I love the Red Sox.

I like the Twins but without Liriano or Radke. It will be very hard. Silva has come off one of his worst seasons and the other spots will probably be filled by boof bonser, garza, and sum other rookies

Mr. Clutch has a good answer. Although I would argue with him on putting Johan's name on there. You can always pencil Johan in as an 18 game winner (minimum). But the rest of the starters...............
Great bullpen with a top notch closer in Joe Nathan.
The young talent (MVP Morneau, Mauer, Cuddyer) are developing well, they have veteran leadership and awesome defense in Hunter.
Without Liriano...........I just don't think they have it all yet.

Gotta have hope gotta have hope.
Remember the Tigers? Maybe the Twins can bounce up just like that.
Everyone (last season) said that without Liriano, the Twins wouldn't make the postseason. But what happened? They made the postseason!
...But then eventually got swept by the A's.
Then again, this is the sports nation people, you never know whats gonna happen... who knows, it might be Kansas City Royals vs. Colorodo Rockies in the WS for crying out loud lol.
Wouldn't that be funny?

I do, I have to say that, I am from Minnesota! Seriously though, if they had Liriano, it would he a no brainer, I still think they could do it, it all depends on one or two of the young guys stepping it up early. I think Garza will and Bonser will be a solid starter... Silva HAS to be better than last year. I really would like to have added another bat, but like Silva, I think Rondell HAS to do better than last year, because you really can't do much worse...

The Twins will definitely go far next year. After an awesome season in '06, with the batting champion, MVP, AND the Cy Young Award winner, they should be explosive. BUT, they will be good, but not the best team in the majors. I think they'll find their way into the playoffs, but stumble in the ALCS (I don't think they'll fall in the ALDS because they'll be angry for getting swept there last year by the A's).
