I am really big on thanking a person for choosing my answer and I think adding a comment is a nice gesture( could be a bad one too, though) What do you think?

I try to do this on most of the answers that are chosen as best, but only if the asker chooses me - I don't respond if I was chosen by the voters.

purely cruising by skill of & beginning the question does no longer mean somebody is that interested in it in line with risk they are purely passing by using & ninety% of the time you do no longer see the entire Q till now each and everything look. i'd like this to be optional

I always make a comment, too, and really appreciate it when people make a comment when they give me best answer. It's pretty cool.

It's just a matter of courtesy to thank someone for going out
of their way and answering your question.
I very often do, if my question is selected as the best one.
