Okay im trying to help my sister out here...She is going to buy an Xbox for her boyfriend for a late xmas present...(he wants an Xbox not a 360...and my sister wouldnt pay 300 dollars for him) I looked all over the internet (Gamestop, Walmart, Best but, etc) for one and i dont remember seeing them at any retail stores. Where is a place where they would have a xbox in stock and we could just walk in and buy one.

p.s. ebay is not a option...or any of those others sites.

You can buy used Xbox systems at alot of stores, I think the regular xboxes stopped being manufactured and sent back via Microsoft request for what reason I don't know. All you can probably buy are used systems, which ARE cheaper, but I can't reccommend doing so. The used ones are usually riddled with problems, try looking in the classifieds of your local paper, you may find one for sale there.

You may even try Flea Markets, they might have a stand that sells games and systems, and you may find a new Xbox. I still have mine myself and I love the system, be a long time before I decide to go to next Gen.

you can try craigslist.org. Simply choose your area and hit electronics and you got lots of people with xbox ads. Ive seen xbox ads low as 100 dollars that come with lots of stuff.
