whether it be out of fear of retaliation, or whatever do you think they were asking for it, or wanted it? I personalyy think no one deserves that no matter what, but my mom says otherwise. I was just wondering what everyone else thought. What is your opinion?

Well most of the time the woman may be too embarassed to say anything. I do not think an average woman wants to be raped or wants to be robbed at knifepoint. So according to your mom then, if a woman gets robbed of her money, the woman was asking for it because she decided to dress nice and have money on her person.

Well it took me almost ten years to
tell my mom i was rapped ( family member)
I know i did not want to get rapped
i just did not know how to say it

A lot of rapes go by without
being reported
not a good thing but it does happen
and i am pretty sure on all
cases no one asked for it

thanks

The statistical analysis of females who don't report rapes is alarmingly high - even with its vast variations. Women don't report it because of so many wholly negative reactions. Husbands leave wives, the community frowns on them and so forth. It's quite the sad state of affairs, really.

I think the victim is either too ashamed or too scared to report the rapist.

NO I THINK THEY ARE ASHAMED OR SCARED... I KNOW SOMEONE WHO WAS PERSONALLY IN THIS SITUATION AND SHE HAD THE GUY ARRESTED A YEAR LATER... NO ONE LOOKS AT HER DIFFERENTLY... OF COURSE THE POLICE WONDERED WHY SHE TOOK SO LONG. SOME GIRLS JUST DON'T HAVE THE GUTS AND DON'T HAVE THE NERVE TO STEP UP AND STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES..

it's not like your asking for it but, your not trying to help it from happening to someone else. people should think of that cause they could do it again.
