Really you would require a role model. Imitation works a lot better than reading or talk.

The best resource is your own behavior (and that of your spouse if applicable). When it comes to moral issues like respect, children learn most from those around them. While you cannot control everyone your child interacts with--teachers, other kids, etc.--you can control your own behavior.
Think about how respect is displayed; not the inner thinking but the outward expression of respect. Then display that whenever possible. Show your child what respect looks like and that you value such respect.
This can be harder than you realize, because many adults are used to not giving children respect. We yell at them, or more often, give them orders without any explanation other that, "Because I'm an adult, that's why!" Make sure you take some time and look at yourself before you expect respect from your child.
Good luck!

You just need to teach him right and wrong. If he's being disrespectful to you or anyone else, correct the behavior right then and there, don't let it keep happening, he's probably just testing your boundaries. When you start to discipline him, make it a regular habit, that way he knows what Daddy says goes.

You can't be affraid to punish your child. Today so many parents want thier kids to be thier buddies. But that is not always the case you are the parent, and you do know whats best. Make him beable to succeed at achedemics. Make sure he is well read, and when he is disrespectful to anyone make sure he knows that it is unacceptable
