I just did a pregnancy test today . . . I peed in a washed out pickle jar and dipped the stick for the required amount of time. The 'you're pregnant' result popped in the window really quickly so I left the room and came back after 4 minutes to see if it had faded to just a 'no, you're not' result. It didn't!
So my question is this. . . Can a pickle jar be pregnant or is it really me? Pickles don't have the right hormone do they? I feel kinda weak at the thought! I want to be pregnant and I have never gotten a false postive before. I plan to try the test again tomorrow morning, minus the pickle jar.

Do another test - the test looks for some kind of hormone and if it was positive at first I would think you are infac pregnant. They can be wrong - just buy another one.

There's no need to pee into a jar or anything else just hold the test under your stream of urine. No pickles can't get pregnant, they grow and then are stored in the jar itself. If the first test came out positive then i'm sure it will the next time too, minus the jar.

LOL... no dear pickles don't have a pregnancy hormone. If it showed positive then you more than likely are pregnant. I would suggest next time not using a pickle jar. Either pee directly on the stick or use a clean disposable cup. I would not recommend and type of food containers

I've dipped the stick and peed on the stick... same results.. I really dont think the pickle jar has anything to do with your pregnancy results... if it did.... >.< I would definitely pee on the stick and go with that. If you're still unsure about the results you can always go to a planned parenthood or the hospital to get it done properly. good luck!

Try it again without the pickle jar. Read the directions on the package and follow them exactly for a correct result.

First of all,were you planning the arrival of a newborn? if you were you should know whether you made a mistake or not. Secondly do you think you are ready and mature enough to take on the challenge of taking care of another life as well as yours. And last but not least, pickle does not have the same organisms or hormones as a human being and it is only allowed to produce food of such sort. So i suggest that you talk it over with your partner about the up coming of your child and plan how you are going to support this child and still be able to take care of yourself. hun, your pregnant it doesn't matter if you put it in a pickle jar or not but if you really feel like it was the pickle jars fault then take the test again. Good luck!

Im not sure if a washed pickle jar would mess with the results....but just put it under u when u pee..and let the stream of water run thru it .....do it again and get it over with....good luck!

i think it'll be a lot more accurate if you take the test without using the pickle jar. most likely, that didn't have an effect on it but you should do it the true way, just to make sure.

I would try without the pickle jar, and call your dr and have a test to confirm it.
