There is a product called Slingbox, developed by Sling Media that should do the trick. According to this http://www.cnet.com/4520-10602_1-5619284.html review at CNET, this will allow you to put your tv content on your notebook, but in reality this sends the content over the internet to your computer. There are some competing products from Sony and others, but Sling appears to be most notable due to it's great reviews and features (no, I don't work for them).
