I work at office with 40 cubicles, there are about 20 men. We obviously sometimes know stuff like what shoes the guys wear. I know I only have 3 pairs of shoes, so it’s anyone call tell it’s me on the stall by looking at my shoes. Sometimes I’m there, and I can tell who’s there next to me because they may know their boots, but I never talk to them.
I really hate it when I’m sitting on the toilet, and some jerk starts calling my name asking stuff like “what’s up”, “So how was your weekend”, or even worse “is everything 0K, why don’t you answer?”. I also hate it when people try and engage a conversation with you on the urinal next to you.

What’s the best thing when people do that? I just don’t want to talk to anyone in that moment.

No comments or feedback ought to be made relating to any "noises" made interior the wide-unfold public restroom. regardless of the undeniable fact that it somewhat isn't any longer continuously avoidable to take heed to what is going on in the different stalls, you should attempt your ultimate to be zoning them out. Acknowledging which you heard a sneeze could additionally be implying which you heard different issues besides. this could make for an extremely uncomfortable and awkward project. same is going for the urinals.

People tend to get chatty when they are nervous. Perhaps they were talking to put you at ease.

In the future, be careful what you wish for, for you may end up in the bathroom with no paper and that is truly something to hate.

Politely reply that you will talk to them at break, but that you just don’t want to talk to anyone in that moment. Exactly what you said. They should understand. I don't mind talking, but if someone else has issues with it, I can respect that.
