Yeah, I did it....this morning. I forgot I had that greatest hits cd and I was compelled.
She did dance when Copa Cabana came on.
So was I wrong to play this?

I did get her to understand that it is "daddy's favourite musician" so she can go around and tell everyone much to his dismay (he's not a Barry fan).

What kind of parents do we make eh? I really hadn't thought of it like that, I subject my 8 year old son to Wham-Greatest Hits, Dolly Parton, Human League, Howard Jones, The Pretenders, steps, I'm now just realising how cruel i've been... its a wonder no-one has reported me to child line or NSPCC...

AND he knows the words to all the songs..... maybe in some sick way i'm getting my revenge for all the sleepless nights i've had.... lol :-\

All of these I've bought quite recently from asda so they are as much to blame as me

only to the child. I loved Mandy. That's the only song Barry manilow sang that i really liked. I call it almost child abuse. LOL.

Nawh, it's safe. Barrry's not so bad, he was big, very big in his heyday. It's always a good idea to introduce kids to yesterday's music, movies and things in history that you liked. My grandmother and mother were really good at sharing their favorite things from the past with me. Made me feel closer to them and have a better relationship with them. They weren't strangers to me like most kids parents are. It helped develop a friendship and trust with them.

Your husband apparently grew up listening to him, did he turn out bad??
