I hate it when people play games with my heart. My girl bestfriend and I weren't speaking for quite some time because of what she did to me. But since it was new year, I decided to forgive her. On New Year's day she txted me saying she missed me very much and that she loves me. I was always crazy about her so it made me happy that she said she loves me. But when I texted her last night that I love her, she replied by saying "I love you too friend". By her adding friend means that she loves me only as a friend right? Why the hell did she have to start saying it? I feel sucky right now because of that. Why do girls like leading on guys making them believe there is something more? I just hate it. Has this ever happened to you? Any advice?

yeah...i know that feeling. guys do it to. i have a few guy friends and the one that I actually like is the one who said he loved me but I know he means it in a friendly way. The best thing to do is try to get past it. I mean you're friends and you don't want to mess that up. You could tell her how you feel, but you would be risking your friendship. I guess it's really a risk and you have to decide if it's one you want to take. She may not feel the same way and that may not be good for your friendship. But if you care about her, I'd say to stay friends and try to get past it. You may meet someone else you like.

There really aren't any personality or character traits that apply to the whole gender, so any compliment would be for a particular woman instead of across the board for all women (or men). The only characteristics, other than obvious physical traits, that really apply across the board are that men like to have polygamous sex and women like to have babies. There are good and bad apples in each barrel, and there are exceptions to the most common traits.

There are many different types of love. I can honestly say that I love my friends, but it's different than the love I feel for my parents, and different than the love I feel for my boyfriend, and also different than the love I feel for my cat. She wasn't leading you on, most likely she was just relieved that you guys were talking again.

yeah. i hate it when ppl say it. i say it when i know i love them. but like my 'girl friehnds' no im not a lez. but i say i love htam and i love my friends alot. and i love my best guy friend but he doesnt love me. or @ least he doesnt say it . hope everything 'works out' ~chelsea~
