Dinner, Dancing , Drinking and having conversation where I don't have to think about what I am going to say. If it comes naturally you know your a good fit.

A good first date would be to find out that the other person shares similar interests as me; perhaps similar politics and morals. To be able to tell that they are genuinely interested in me and find me attractive. Hopefully they are elegant enough to enjoy the finer things in life, but are interested in more than just the material things. I don't really care what we do... as long as they enjoy themselves and it looks like it is worth having a second date.

the best first dates are something casual....maybe cooking dinner together in, sharing a bottle or two of wine, watching a DVD or just talking, getting drunk together, and then, maybe more...depending on the man and how long I've known him.
