The scariest movies in my opinion where the first Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis and also Nightmare on elm street was really good and still pretty creepy today. If your looking for more recent films then House of 1000 corpses and The Devils Rejects where both pretty insane and very gory movies both directed by Rob Zombie who is later this year doing a new version of the first Halloween.

I think the scariest movie I've ever seen is The Ring 1 and 2, but specially 2 cause the girl is horrible, though i did liked that movie, i just think is really scary

When I was in high school me & friends waited in line to see 'The Exorcist,' it had just come out & it was by far the scariest movie I've ever seen!! Don't go out & rent it now - you'll be sorry. Happy New Year!!

The original Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The movie is a true life story that is so eerie and disturbing. That fact that it was a true story gives the movie life. At that point nothing is more frightening.

I'd have to say the original "Dawn of the Dead" (I was 19 at the time) scared the living (ha ha) crap out of me so much that 15 years later I in no way could bring myself to see the recent remake!!
Reason: what "zombies" isnt a good enough explanation for you??!!

Because the mind game aspect of it all. It kinda scared me to think there are probably people out there that sit around thinking of ways to torture people.
Needless to say its scary in a facinating way.

The Blair Witch Project, its the only movie that ever scared me past age 12 (I saw it when I was thirty).

The original amityville horror, imagine your husband or wife waking up one day trying to kill you!!!!

The Grudge! Weird movie 'cause it would give you really warped dreams a couple days 'After' you saw it. (everyone I know experienced that).
