I can see the menu but when I select the songs it does not play them andit it just scrolls through the songs.How to fix that

Switch it on and off and it will work.

Have you tried calling customer service hotline? Do you have a warrenty on your i-pod? Or maybe you can take it to an Apple store and see if they can supply you with more information on how to get it fixed. I hope this helps. Good luck.

You should try resetting the iPod or reloading the software. If that does not work, you may have a trashed unit.
