I do miss the good Ol days at the arcade, Playing and hanging out with the gang.
But I relive the past by buying the old games and restoring them and have my own game room at my house. We have PS2, GameCube, Sega satern, N64, NES, and alot of games for our computers but the kids and their friends rather go and play the old pinball, darts, and arcade games.
I have built and build arcade cabinets with modern computers in them connected to the old style control pannels with joysticks, buttons, spinners, and tracballs. The have 19 inch to 27 inch tv screens and play alot of the old games.
Here is some links to look at if you'd like to see examples of what I'm talking about and maybe inspire others to keep the old arcade games alive.

PacMan/Ms PacMan, Frogger, Frogs and Flies, Donkey Kong, Pole place, Q-Bert, Tetris (presently i'm hooked on the facebook version)... as far as video games that are particularly recent, i might say Virtua Fighter (wrestle interest) and Virtua Striker (soccer interest). i did not comprise the OG of video games, Pong, in the record on condition that I affiliate that with the not-particularly-heartbreaking deprivation of keen to play it whilst i replaced right into a splash youngster in the Seventies (definite, i'm relatively in all probability the oldest individual who replied) and not getting the possibility on condition that all the grown-united stateshave been shamelessly hogging it! EDIT: merely out of interest: replaced into each and every individual else here born earlier than Watergate, or am I the lone elder statesman in that class? EDIT 2: late seventy one here. you have a large holiday too Opiner! EDIT 3: Mucky puppy, i'm decrease than a three hundred and sixty 5 days from turning out to be a member of you in the large 4-oh club, then.

I definitely miss the arcades from the 1980s...I have fond memories of stealing quarters from my a**h**e stepfather and taking them down to the "Cue Club" to play Donkey Kong, Xevious, and Stargate. Home consoles have replaced the arcades of old :(
Remember that game show "Starcade"?..heh.
