I like track shorts since they are shorter and don't flop around much when moving around. Of course I would wear a different shirt than shown here.

I think those shorts are fine and you can wear them. Just wear some underwear since they are "short" shorts..... I can see something exposed.........

Running on the street, yes. Doing anything at a gym, especially something requiring you to bend over, no.
