Honestly they were both really sad, but at least Ford got a nice respectful funeral. Saddam Hussein was treated awful! No one deserves that kind of funeral. Judgement should be left to God, and it looked to me like they were taking that into there own hands. They could have at least gave him a little more decent of a funeral. What he did was wrong, yes, but so is what Bush and many other leaders are doing. I bet they wont do that to them. Everyone is equal in Gods eyes. We all get our due in the end.

The death of Gerald Ford made me more sad, because he served his country (and mine) well, but he was 93, so it really was his time.

The death of Saddam Hussein made me more worried. I won't waste tears over him, because he was a brutal tyrant, but I'm concerned about the way his trial and execution were handled--tried by a government that didn't even exist at the time of his crimes, and then taunted on the gallows. I mean, he's probably guilty of all that he was convicted of and more, but the manner of his trial and execution was more like a vendetta than real justice, and I'm afraid that will further enflame a country that is already in flames, so to speak.

Both. Gerald Ford because he was a good man, if not a great president. Saddam because I think the death penalty if barbaric.

SAddam Hussein cause with him being alive you have a chance to really hear what and who the president is all about. By him being alive you heard a lot of things about the president and his family that you would not imagine. Like the twin towers deal. While looking on the internet i found out that the PRESIDENT'S BROTHER MELVIN had something to do with that. The article had a lot of people from the towers who were alive to talk. All of them said that there was something crazy going on. There were military people coming in talking about bombs or something. But when you look at the video when the planes hit, it blew up FROM THE BOTTOM FIRST. Now that is weird.
Now for Gerald Ford it really did not effect me cause i was do young to know about him...

I didn't know either of them, so I wasn't sad on a personal level at all. I rue the loss of Gerald Ford far more than that of Saddam, though.
