My part time job is in a Deli/Bakery and the cake that most people order for baby showers is a 1/2 sheet cake with a small doll lying on a flower the doll only has on a diaper it is so cute and for the wording put something like good luck name or if she knows the sex of the child congratulations it's a boy/girl

You might also think about a diaper cake as a practical and usable cake for the mom to use after the baby is born. Diaper cakes are generally made with many new diapers in the shape of a cake and come in very handy for the new parents. Try Chestnut Cards Baby Shower boutique for diaper cakes in different colors and sizes.

First, find out if the person throwing the shower has a major theme, so the cake doesn't clash.
Next, it depends on your cousin - if she's very traditional, the bakery will have a lot of the standards (baby blocks, lots of blue piping, etc.) If she likes things a little different, bugs are cute, as are frogs, an "under the sea" theme or firetrucks.
Bugs might sound odd, but one of my baby showers was all bugs, bright colored plastic bugs on the table, a cake with green grass and little icing ants and dragonflies, etc. Really cute & fun.
The link attached has no "theme" but uses the baby's name...very cute.

Get a fondant cake. They look so much better then ones with regular frosting.
Maybe get it in the shape of baby blocks or something..I think that'd be really cute. You could have the blocks spell out "Baby" and then you wouldn't even have to put a saying on it.

Any baby related item would work. Or if the mother has a theme for the baby's room you could go with that.

what theme are you doing. Have it made to match the theme. Ex: duck theme then do a duck cake. Im all about coordinating things to match perfectly.

i could point out it lower back and say whats up a number of my family individuals grew to become into wanting the main important factors on the toddler bathe. and spot what she says. If she provided to throw you one then she could be on top of issues. If she is chickening out then ask your loved ones that might actually assist you with it. whether you finally end up making plans your very own it is okay it is extremely merely approximately getting the belongings you pick on your toddler top? or perhaps ask your boyfriend to talk to her approximately it because of the fact it is his mom.
