I am a massage therapist, I take care of 2 men, one a quadriplegic the other a hemiplegic, they are very young, under 30 the quad has sensation, the hemi has the ability to move leg on bad side, I am willing to try whatever I can with the "boys" I do not like to see someone as young as them, my childrens ages, tucked away in a nursing home with no hope at all. I have used friction and reflex stroking, I have tried vibration. Any more suggestions?

Uh. I would think any kind of massage and any kind of oils would be fine.
Western medicine and stem cell research would be better.

In my line of work as a Nursing Assistant we were taught a form of massage for bedridden patients. I don't think it has to be a specific type of massage. Basically the goal for bedridden patients, and those stuck in a wheelchair 24/7 is to increase the circulation, which is one thing a good all over body massage does.

If you're interested in other forms, you might try calling up your local massage school. The instructor there could tell you more and usually they offer massages at a cheaper rate. And sometimes massage schools will have a list of those that are volunteers when there are no paid ones scheduled. (means they get the massage free so the students can get their massage hours in to graduate)

If they can handle it, then "attach" them to one of those stationary bikes that has handles that move while you pedal. Then slowly and gently "pedal" the bike by hand for them. Work up to 1 hour, but stay slow. This will keep them limber.
The easiest way is to "suspend them" in a parachute harness just resting on the seat of the machine, and use velcro gloves and socks to "attach" them to the machine. Otherwise, over time, they will become stiff as a board, and that is very very horrible.

Any sort of massage with warm essential oils in a carrier oil. These people benefit greatly with water therapy.
