Walmart, Michaels and JoAnns have knitting yarn. You can also find them online. Target does not carry knitting yarn.

Walmart usually carries yarn in their craft and sewing department. The selection will depend on the size of the store. They usually have some basic Red Heart, Lion Brand, and Bernat yarns, as well as some cotton yarns for making dishcloths.

Target only occasionally carries yarn, but not that much. They sometimes have some knitting kits, but they usually run out. The yarn selection at Target is not good at all.

Wal-Mart's usually have a pretty good yarn department, located near the fabrics and crafts areas and a pretty good selection of the various types of yarn. Target does not have an arts and crafts sections at all. If you are buying yarn for a specific projest buy enough for the whole project though because sometimes they have older stuff and if it is a "seasonal" color you might have trouble finding more.

Wal-Mart does carry yarn and some of the newer fun yarns too, just not as large a selection as Michaels or Joanns. Target sometimes has yarn, but they don't stock it regularly

I would like to add to the answers that you have received so far and hasten to tell you that Witchcraft and Wicca are NOT the same thing. Wicca is a religion, Witchcraft is a craft which is sometimes also practiced by Wiccans, bu t not all Witches are Wiccans. I am a Witch but not a Wiccan. If you a interested in Witchcraft but not in Wicca, then steer clear of Scott Cunningham's publications. I suggest that you read "Witchcraft: A Beginner's Guide" by Teresa Moorey. It gives a lot of information in a small book, and answers FAQs very well. It is available online.

I think they do from what i've heard at walmart, but i don't remember seeing anything at target. But your best bet is to go to Michels for yarn. they have a wider range of yarn from wool, cotton, and eyelash to homespun from lion brand.

good luck. :)
