No cream is sun-proof. All they are is solar radiation resistant, and they wear off. Every time you are in the sun, your skin becomes damaged to some degree, no matter how long the exposure. The difference is that if you stay in the sun only briefly your body can recover from the exposure more readily than if you stay in the sun for extended periods of time. Wearing a sun-screen increases this time, more for higher levels of SPF (sun or solar-protection-factor).

Bottom line, if your skin is getting tanned, it is getting damaged. The deeper the tan, the more the damage and the greater the liklihood of you developing skin cancer which is among the most deadly.

Well, the "best" times of the day to be in the sun are before 10:00 am and after 3:00 pm, when the UV rays are at their least harmful. And, of course, always wear sunscreen w/ an SPF of at least 25.

Don't get too tanned, girl!! I've found that most guys may like a slightly tanned girl but not a charcoal-burnt-looking girl!! ;)

If you are lying in the sun with no SPF on, it is dangerous no matter how long you do it.
