Stay confident!

Every one has to get their start somewhere. The worst thing you will ever do is shoot down your own ideas before you start.

Just start writing. If you and your friends have hilarious conversations, write them down. Make up new conversations that never happened that are just as funny. Imagine what would happen if those conversations occurred; how would the characters react? What kind of crazy things might happen? What would be the consequences? What would people learn from the results, how would their relationships evolve?

If you considered all that and wrote it all down, you'd have a finished story - it's that easy.

You can do it - just do it!

It is true that you should write from experience but what someone said above is also true, you should start small and work up to scripts. Writing scripts is hard work. Things that you find interesting and of comic value others may not and you gotta remember that. Jot down anecdotes and plot lines, formulate an idea before even thinking of putting pen to paper to start the thing!

Once you've written your first script it's the best feeling, but only show it to people if you can take constructive critisism and don't worry if it doesn't work first time. You'll crack it eventually.

Good luck!

there are so many high school movies out there for a reason, you are almost guaranteed an audience with the young teens, and if you have good characters and witty dialogue, you may have more audiences interested as well.

but beware, you dont want your movie to seem cliche, so ditch the b**ch and the nerd etc or it will be way too saved by the bell.

All I can say is "Just start writing," don't let know one tell you that your idea(s) sound shitty. This is your idea and no one else. Go for it! Maybe start out small like someone else suggested. You are 16. If you start now and keep during it you will come out successful. Maybe start out using a documentary form about your school days and build your idea around that.

its great all you neeed is some main characters and good friendships then they get broken all of a sudden.keep your script to yourself and your friends dont show anyone else because they might think its not good and make your self feel down. if you need some more tips just watch lady in the water. the writer person has alot of good ideas like make a side character that is in danger but someone saves them. also make it funny! comedy is the best in books/scripts. make some tragic moment and he/shes friends help and help them feel better. or maybe make the character do something bad and pulls away two peoples relationship...i hop this helps =D and i though of this so yea ;D

Write it done and if you dont think its gonna work write a new script. Just try and dont think so much. If its a good idea you gonna feel it and the pen is turning red,if you get the point.

Random stuff is ALWAYS the funniest subjects I think. You need to get your basic characters established first. Like the evil cow, the cute ditzy girl, the nerd, the weird character etc. Go for it! As long as you like the final result then that is all that really matters! Good luck!

People alway start off too big. Write a short story first, see if you can do that. Then move on to something bigger. A short story is a chance to see if you can formulate a story and lead to a conclusion.

I'd suggest you learn to use capital letters at the start of sentences and for I.
Good luck - sorry if this sounds negative - but you do want to have your script taken seriously, don't you?
