I don't like it, and I don't like him, BUT. I was thinking about it the other day, and having a villan own the record will make the future chase all the more exciting! No one really wants to see a class guy like Aaron get passed, but when/ if Bonds holds it, everyone will be rooting for it to be broken and it could add a lot of intrigue to the game. If ARod, Pujols, Andrew Jones, Howard, whoever, gets close in years, EVERYONE will cheer for them to overcome the big bad Bonds!

People.......Lets not forget that Barry Bonds comes from great stock with home run power. Bobby Bonds (his Father) Mcguire,Sosa, Canseco and several others have taken some sort of additive while working out to become stronger. Barry has hit HRs his entire carrier. Whos to say Aaron never took and additives???? There were no manditory tests then! Even if your the strongest man in the world those of you that know baseball also know that it takes a awesome eye and great bat speed to hit the ball at nearly 100 mph! Come on people. If he breaks it, He breaks it. Congratulations Barry! Go for it!

As a Giants fan I consider Bonds one of the greatest players to ever play the game, I think everyone should recognize that. He was a terrific player in the 90's, he could steal, field, hit for average, and hit the long ball. I still don't think he should get this record, I mean we have no proof he was on performance-enhancing drugs, but what are the odds he's not? I'll be happy it's all over with, but very much upset.

I don't care because I won't consider him the record champ. I am a Red Sox and Mets fan not a Yankee fan. Records are made to be broken but not that way.

I will be indifferent cause I dont care either way, and steriods or not that has no effect on that...I mean Good for him hes broken a record, but its not going to effect me personally...

If you mean will i accept him as the home run king then yes...because I beleive in innocent untill proven guilty....if they ever show me real proof that he used them, they I will discredit him but untill then I have no reason to beleive it people lie all the time show me some cold hard facts. I could say my brother is a rapist but that doesnt make it true, so why does someone just saying hes a juicer make it true?

Well hopefully someone will plunk Barry in the head and he won't be able to play for the rest of his career. but that being ridiculously out of the question i am going to be very sad to see a historical record broken by roids =(

He won't. He won't get a pitch to hit this season, but he will break his own record for intentional passes.

I will be most unhappy for Hank Aaron who I admired when he played. He was and is a classy person unlike Bonds.

Go get them slugger. Hey, until they can stop him, let him hit all the homeruns he can. If Baseball wants to try to stop him, walk him.

I just wish he would have done it in a Yankee uniform.

Anyone want to bet that, if he returns after next year, it won't be as a Giant?
