I got pregnant with my youngest daughter while still nursing my son. It is VERY possible to conceive while breastfeeding, even if you have not had a period yet. Because ovulation (when you actually conceive) precedes your period you could get pregnant again the first time you ovulate after birth or breastfeeding and never have another period. If you definitely do not want to get pregnant again, use birth control until your periods return to normal, and then you can time your intercourse and cycles after that.

I don't know if the matter can be measured as easy or hard. It will depend on the person as well. The first period can come in 2 months to more than a year after giving birth regardless of breastfeeding or not. Generally, breath feeding will delay your first period. Even when your first period comes, some will have irregular period for up to a year since the 1st period after giving birth. Some will get back to regular period(4 weeks apart) since the first one after giving birth. Therefore, to answer your question, without a regular period, there is no way to tell how long it will take to get pregnant. You just have to keep trying. It could be tonight, or it could be months.

I think it varies from woman to woman. Of course at some point you will ovulate before that first period, so if you are trying go ahead and have fun while waiting on your period. I think though that is usually ranges from 2 to 4 months. You could speak with your doctor. I'd keep an eye on it though because if you are having sex without protection and waiting on that period you could already be pregnant. I wish you the best of luck!

Well considering I know a few people that have gotten pregnant while still breastfeeding....I would say it wouldn't take you any longer then it took for you to conceive the first time.

i would say sometime soon, but it really depends on your body...it could be up to a year, or as short as a week
