My mom and I are going to San Diego in the spring. When is it the best time to go San Diego without crowds in the spring?

I think spring is a great time to come to San Diego. The most crowded time here is during the summer. Even then...the different communities in San Diego are spread out and it's not too bad.

Whenever cause San Diego Has the best weather all year long =)
It more crowded to go during the summer.

San Diego is probably the best city of any that I have ever visited!
There is so much to do but it is still a laid back coastal community. The weather here is pretty much excellent year 'round although May & June can be foggy. Crowds don't get crazy till the summer months.
Be sure to stroll the Embarcadero, its worth a visit all on its' own.

Try to avoid the Easter break time period. Schools and colleges now take the week off at all different weeks prior to Easter, best to go after the second week following the holiday. Also, the later the better as the weather is more likely to be warmer w/ less rain and the ocean temperature will be warmer also.

We visited in Aug last year and it was wonderful - warm but with a nice breeze. Not sure about other times of the year but if you can only make Aug - dont hesitate - its a great City!

i went in the winter and it was pretty dull, i would go in the spring, it will be more crowded but it will add to the atmosphere

i LOVE IT here around christmas it just gets a calm peaceful vibe and after opening presents you can hit the beach. Talk about best Christmas ever!

SD is nice year round.....Spring kinda gets hectic, but it isn't like LA or the Bay Area. Have a nice vacation! you're so lucky!!!
