Hmm.. I guess you haven't used any cleanser before. Don't accept anyone's answer that recommends one because it depends on your face type, what's good for one person may be terrible for the other. I have oily skin and if you do too I would suggest Boots tea tree and witch hazel, it's really good or if you have dry/normal skin use boots no7 soft and smooth cleanser.

But they're just guidelines, decide on the type of your skin first and then shop around to see what suits you, use this website to help you decide on your skin type:

Or you could go to your dermatologist and they will be able to give you advice on what skin type you have. However, they may offer their own products to you which are usually expensive. So just say, "I need to think/ask my parents about it," and then leave, knowing your skin type without having to purchase anything. Works every time!!

Good luck!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleansing Pads are great for slightly oily/combination/normal/sensitive skin. The pads are soaked in lightly scented, foaming cleanser that rinses off completely. Each pad has a textured side for exfoliation and a smoother side for sensitive areas. Cost: 30 pads for about $7.

Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser comes in a pump bottle and is fragrance-free. Though it's labelled as hydrating, it is good for combination/normal/sensitive skin. Cost: 8 oz. bottle for about $6
A little goes a long way.

I've alternated between these two cleansers for about 2 years and have been really pleased with them. My skin is in better condition and I have a lot fewer breakouts.

I hear that Cetaphil is really good. Its around $7-$11 depending on size, but I think its a reasonable price. You can also try any cleansers from Neutrogena, Clearasil, or Aveeno. They're also good as well. Pick the one that best matches your skin's needs.

As far as inexpenisve, I use the Clean'n' Clear foaming face wash, its a gel.

There is an orange colored one for regular type skin, and a clear for sensative. I don't have sensative skin but I found the clear one is strong enough to keep me from breaking out and it removes ALL my make up PLUS it doesn't over dry my skin which is a huge deal in the dry winter weather...I live in Texas-ick.

Use proactive, it is very good. I have used it from time to time, and it keeps my face nice, clean, and smooth. Proactive is around 45-50 dollars for the complete set, but it is worth every penny. You can buy the mask, cleanser, lotion, and plenty more.

I think it depends on your skin type! Do you have oily, dry, combo, normal skin?

I had a dermatologist tell me the best thing for your face is warm water and Dove soap because it's so gentle!

Neutrogena is always good, Clean and Clear or Oil or Olay. It all depends on what kind of skin you have. Just hit up your local drugstore and see what they've got. Also, St. Ives is pretty cheap, but good.
