Doesn't it just get your gorde when people complain about the high income taxes and we need to tax the rich, when most people in the lower 50% of the pay scale don't pay a CENT of tax, and the top 5% of the entire country pays for 50% of the tax revenue. I'm probably not getting a refund this year. I made too much money for a single man to get a refund and I don't have any deductions. I'm proud to pay taxes and support my country.

Oh yea...I hear ya. And I'll be laughing all the way to the bank since I'm getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 7,000. I am a single parent with two kids to support so I need every red cent of your money I can get...

BTW--Thanks!

Let me ask you: would you rather make a million dollars annually and have to give up $250K, or make $25K with 3 kids?

I make a decent six-figure salary and I don't like paying taxes either, but you're a lot better off than the "lower 50" you're complaining about. I bet any of them would switch with you in a NY minute.

How many taxpayers paid a 36% rate ? How about a flat 25% for the top with no loopholes ? The rich would cry like little girls The top 400 taxpayers paid an average rate of 17% in 2009

Refund, I'm proud to pay taxes too. However, I get the EIC and then another credit for my child.

Yes, we usually do pretty well with that it seems. And I so agree with your complaint, Jim. Thanks for bringing it up. I don't get why people complain about it either. For me, the taxes that are taken out of my paycheck are just dollars I never technically saw, so how can I miss them? Does that make sense? I hope so. Anyway, yeah.
