I have a 97 Grand Cherokee laredo. Rear hatch will not work. I replaced it but see no adjustments.?

The bar on the doorframe that the latch grabs can be adjusted. You have to reach underneath and behind the bumper and loosen the nuts holding it down, and you can move it some.

Are you saying that you're pushing a button and the hatch isn't opening?

A little bit more info is needed here. If you have a push button hatch and it isn't working, then there may be a problem with the electrical part of it (maybe a blown fuse)

If you have a hatch where a cable is pulled, then there may be a problem with the cable
